2024 National Standards Revision Plan for the Packaging Industry: China Packaging Research and Testing Center Leads a New Chapter for the Industry

The National Standardization Administration Committee recently issued a notice officially announcing the release of the first batch of standards for the packaging industry in 2024. National Standard Revision Plan Project. This revision plan has been proposed and is under the administrative oversight of the National Technical Committee for Packaging Standardization, encompassing a total of 18 key standards.

Among them, China Packaging Research and Testing Center Leads Revision Two key criteria have been established: "Packaging — Methods for Airtightness Testing of Packaging Containers" And "Packaging and Transportation Pictorial Symbols" These revisions to the two standards aim to enhance the standardization and uniformity of the packaging industry, further promoting its healthy development.

The revision of "Packaging — Packaging Containers — Methods for Air-Tightness Testing" will provide a clearer and more standardized approach to testing the air-tightness performance of packaging containers, ensuring that products maintain their integrity during transportation and preventing leaks or damage. This updated standard will help enhance the quality and reliability of packaging containers, offering robust assurance for the safe transport of goods.

The revision of "Graphical Symbols for Packaging, Storage, and Transportation" will further enhance the graphical markings used throughout the packaging, storage, and transportation processes, enabling staff to more intuitively and clearly understand packaging requirements and handling regulations. This updated standard will help improve operational efficiency and accuracy, while also reducing errors and losses caused by misinterpretation or improper handling.

The revision of these two standards is of significant importance for elevating the overall quality of the packaging industry, helping to drive its sustainable development and progress. The National Standardization Administration Committee will continue to closely monitor the progress of the standard revision process and looks forward to completing it soon, thereby providing more robust and comprehensive standard support for the industry's growth.
