The situation is as follows: To ensure product quality and facilitate regulatory oversight, the China Packaging Federation has initiated the development of a group standard for ice packs. The China Packaging Research & Testing Center has promptly responded by taking the lead in this initiative. During the standard-setting process, the China Packaging Research and Testing Center established a dedicated standards development working group starting in April 2022. Initially, the group collected product enterprise standards, technical specifications, specific application requirements, and test methods for evaluating low-temperature retention characteristics across various uses. By May of the same year, team members had discussed and drafted a preliminary version of the standard.
