The center was invited and served as a keynote speaker at the "E-commerce Logistics, Reusable Packaging, and Green Supply Chain Forum."

March 2023, The center was invited by the Guangdong Province Procurement and Supply Chain Association to participate in the "2023 E-commerce Logistics, Circular Packaging, and Green Supply Chain Forum," held as scheduled in Zone B of the China Import and Export Fair Complex. This forum is an internationally recognized showcase that sets the trends in the packaging industry, bringing together many leading figures from the global packaging community.
In recent years, the rapid growth of e-commerce has fueled the swift expansion of the express delivery industry, simultaneously driving a sharp increase in packaging consumption for e-commerce logistics—and, consequently, a rising tide of packaging waste. Notably, in major cities, the volume of courier packaging waste has grown faster than that of general household waste, making packaging pollution an increasingly pressing issue. As a result, transitioning to greener e-commerce logistics and packaging solutions has become a shared societal consensus. While green packaging technologies and applications in e-commerce logistics have advanced rapidly, the industry still faces challenges due to an incomplete standardization system. Moreover, significant disparities persist across regions and among companies in terms of technological capabilities and implementation levels, hindering the sector's ability to achieve sustainable and healthy growth. At this forum, through the insights shared by our distinguished guests, we aim to accelerate the industry's adoption of high-performance, digital, low-consumption, waste-reducing, circular, and reusable eco-friendly packaging solutions—ultimately driving the sector toward even faster and more sustainable growth.
With the implementation of a series of policies—such as the *E-Commerce Law*, the *Opinions of the General Office of the State Council on Promoting Coordinated Development of E-commerce and Express Logistics* (Guobanfa [2018] No. 1), and the *Notice of the General Office of the State Council on Further Strengthening the Management of Excessive Product Packaging* (Guobanfa [2022] No. 29)—the adoption and application of green packaging technologies in e-commerce logistics have steadily advanced. Against this backdrop, this year’s forum focuses on circular packaging for commerce and logistics, as well as emerging trends in green supply chains.
The center, recognized as a leading institution with significant influence in packaging research and testing, was invited to attend the forum. Liu Long as a keynote speaker Did it "Research on Safety Testing Standards for E-commerce Packaging Transportation" The keynote speech featured insights and discussions centered on green supply chains, innovative packaging technologies and trends, circular packaging, applications in emerging consumer scenarios, and new materials for packaging.
