(The Story Behind the Birth of High-Barrier Medical Waste Bags Designed for Pandemic Prevention)

Its launch

Originating from the COVID-19 pandemic

This pandemic has shattered the peaceful, joyous atmosphere of celebrating the New Year with family. Following the nation's instructions, we’ve stayed indoors—overnight, even our once-bustling cities have fallen silent.

We wait patiently—because it’s the best protection for both of us.

The spread of the epidemic occurs through direct or indirect person-to-person transmission, and wearing protective gear plays a crucial role in effectively isolating and preventing the virus from spreading.

However, medical waste is highly infectious, biologically toxic, and corrosive, making it even more dangerous than person-to-person transmission in terms of spreading the epidemic. Therefore, cutting off the source of infection from medical waste is a critical task that cannot be overlooked in controlling and preventing the outbreak.

Liaoning Province is actively responding to the national call by sending a batch of medical waste-specific packaging bags with high isolation performance to the Wuhan area. However, the currently used pandemic-prevention packaging bags for medical waste no longer feature the advanced barrier properties required to address the unique challenges posed by the current epidemic situation.

Do your best.

It’s also about "defending against the enemy" on the battlefield.

Chaoyang Florida Technology Co., Ltd. (Hereafter referred to as "Fulida"), as a leading national manufacturer of plastic films, has urgently taken on the task assigned by the Liaoning Provincial Government to produce specialized "high-barrier" medical waste packaging bags for Wuhan's epidemic prevention efforts.

Florida Based on pandemic needs, we have begun developing products with high barrier performance. Utilizing materials with high strength, excellent ductility, superior heat-sealing performance, and outstanding barrier properties, these products are manufactured using state-of-the-art international multilayer co-extrusion equipment.

After numerous experiments, Florida has finally developed a finished product—a high-isolation medical waste bag designed for pandemic prevention. However, to move toward mass production and practical deployment, it will undoubtedly require testing and certification from authoritative institutions.

For a product that hasn't yet National Environmental Protection Industry Standard For Florida, testing and certification of this product is a time-sensitive and highly demanding task. So, how can they prove that this product boasts superior barrier properties? The key lies in identifying the right certification body. There is no standard.

Let's go ahead and set the standards.

As a leading domestic institution specializing in packaging technology research, development, and testing & inspection, the China Packaging Research and Testing Center has actively taken on Frida's request for services related to this pandemic-prevention product, which currently lacks corresponding testing standards.

Since there’s no updated standard yet, let’s help Florida develop a set of standardized guidelines.

The creation of product standards typically required months of deliberation and standardization, but with this particular product, it’s a race against time—and even against life itself.

The National Center for Quality Supervision and Inspection of Packaging Products (Tianjin), drawing on customer-provided product standards and considering the unique characteristics of the current epidemic, leverages its strong research capabilities and expert testing expertise to help companies assess the compatibility of standard pre-products from a verification and testing perspective—ensuring everything is ready in time. 5 Within working days, standardize testing criteria and provide free third-party inspection reports for the specially designed packaging bags intended for "high-barrier" medical waste used in epidemic prevention.

We provide customers with free testing standards and third-party inspection reports—these complimentary services represent both our heartfelt support in the fight against the epidemic and our sense of responsibility.

This battle against the epidemic, Every Chinese enterprise carries a unique mission. To support the fight against the pandemic, we’ve provided logistics, delivery services, and manufacturers with free standardization, consulting, and design services. These small yet meaningful acts of care will collectively transform into warmth and strength, enabling us to face challenges together and ultimately rise above them.
