Promoting High-Quality Business Development Through Party Building: Quality Inspection Center Party Branch Holds Joint Party Day Activity

At the Work Conference on Party Building in Central and State Organs, General Secretary Xi Jinping emphasized that only by focusing on the central tasks, strengthening the organizational team, and serving the people—while fostering a deep integration of party building with core business activities—can party work in government agencies effectively define its role and direction.

To promote the organic integration of Party building with our center's core business, 2019 Year 11 Month 14 In the afternoon, the Party branch of the Quality Inspection Center joined forces with the LiLi Party branch of the Tianjin Institute of Metrological Supervision, Testing, and Scientific Research (hereafter referred to as "the Institute of Metrology") to carry out a Party Day activity themed "Uphold Our Original Aspiration, Shoulder Our Mission, Identify Gaps, and Focus on Implementation."

Our center's delegation attended this event. 15 People attended the Party Day event at the Institute of Metrology. Guests included Feng Yong, Secretary of the Discipline Inspection Commission and Deputy Director of the China Packaging Research & Testing Center; Tian Yong, Deputy Director and Senior Engineer at the Tianjin Institute of Metrological Supervision and Testing Science; as well as all members from the two branch organizations.

The event began with all members of our center's Party branch visiting the Tianjin Metrology Museum. By exploring the museum's historical metrology artifacts and listening to the engaging explanation from Comrade Ai Xuepu, a retired cadre of the Tianjin Institute of Metrology, we gained insights into China's four key stages of metrology development, as well as the evolution of ancient Chinese measurement systems—specifically in terms of length, capacity, and weight—and the rich history of metrology in Tianjin.

After the visit, the party branches of both sides held a seminar and discussion session focused on "integrating Party building with business operations," guided by the theme: "Stay true to our original aspiration, embrace our mission, identify gaps, and ensure practical implementation." During the session, the secretaries of the two branches shared brief introductions about their respective party organizations. Attendees—including party members—engaged in lively exchanges on how to effectively integrate Party building initiatives with daily business activities. Additionally, our center raised specific challenges encountered during metrology and equipment usage, to which Deputy Director Tian Yong from the National Institute of Metrology and Secretary Wang Peng from the Changli Party Branch provided thorough and insightful responses. Finally, participants discussed how they could collaboratively organize future Party Day activities as part of the ongoing "Stay True to Our Original Aspiration and Keep Our Mission Firmly in Mind" educational campaign.

Through this joint Party Day activity, both sides unanimously agreed that they should strengthen long-term exchanges and collaboration in the future, learning from each other’s experiences and strengths. This will better facilitate the integration of Party building with business operations, fostering mutual growth and development—empowering party members to achieve greater impact, bolstering the organizational capacity of Party branches, and enhancing the effectiveness of Party-building efforts. Ultimately, leveraging Party leadership will drive innovation and support the high-quality development of our enterprise.
